TRANSDUCER PROTECTOR LUER EXTENSION External Visual Indicator for Transducer Protector Failures
Special Features:
- Eliminates blood contamination in pressure specialist care lines. Prevents cross-infections!
- For visual inspection, move the redundant transducer protector outside the machine.
- Gives a clear visual representation of a strike-through.
- Can enhance ability to determine contamination problems.
Instructions for use:
- Connect the MPC-75 extension leads to your usual bloodline (with transducer protector) for external, visual indication of transducer protector breaches (strikethrough).
- The indicator extension and the bloodline set must be placed on top of a sterile transducer protector if your bloodline does not come with one.
- A direct substitution should be made if any sign of contamination (fluid or blood) is observed.
- The unit administrator and unit protocols should determine when regular replacement is required.
- Fluid should never be allowed to remain in the line during treatment.
