Product Description

Tygon® ND 100-80 Tubing

Tygon® ND 100-80 tubing complies with the Biological Test for Plastics, Class VI, as outlined in USP <88> (2017; fluid path), rendering it suitable for a variety of medical applications. This thermoplastic formulation features a relatively high durometer, which provides enhanced pressure resistance and facilitates manufacturing at smaller diameters (< 0.03”/1 mm OD) and wall thicknesses, in contrast to lower durometer options. The physical characteristics of Tygon ND 100-80 position our microbore tubing as an excellent selection for drainage systems, diagnostic instruments, and pressurized fluid transfer.

Main Features:

  • The fluid path has successfully fulfilled the Biological Test for Plastics, Class VI requirements as outlined in USP <88> (2017).
  • It is transparent, allowing for straightforward visualization of the fluid flow.
  • Microbore tubing is available with an outer diameter of less than 0.03" (1 mm).
  • It exhibits resistance to pressure.
  • The physical properties remain largely unaffected by the following sterilization techniques: autoclaving (steam at 135°C for 30 minutes), ethylene oxide (EtO), and gamma radiation.
  • Tygon ND 100-80 is specifically designed and produced without the deliberate inclusion of materials derived from animals or DEHP.

Main Applications:

  • Drug delivery (e.g., intravenous or intra-arterial infusion).
  • Cannulas or protective sheaths.
  • External drainage system (e.g., cerebral spinal fluid drainage).
  • Diagnostic equipment (e.g., reagent manufacturing, waste transfer).
  • Pressurized fluid transfer.
