PSEI202016E – John Guest ProLock 1/2" × 3/8" Reducing Coupler

The John Guest PSEI202016E ProLock Reducing Coupler is a straight push-fit connector designed to join a 1/2-inch CTS pipe to a 3/8-inch CTS pipe. It provides a simple and reliable way to reduce the pipe size while maintaining a straight water-flow connection.

The coupler incorporates Twist-to-Lock technology, which adds connection security after the pipe has been fully inserted. It can connect compatible PEX, PE-RT, copper and CPVC pipes in various combinations.

Installation requires no soldering, adhesive, crimping, clamps or special tools. Its compact design makes it suitable for new plumbing installations, maintenance work and pipe-size transitions in restricted spaces. The fitting is also approved for eligible permanent and behind-the-wall installations when fitted according to the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable plumbing codes.

Technical Specifications:

The pressure and temperature figures are combined operating ratings; the maximum pressure reduces as the water temperature increases.

Compatibility Note

This reducing coupler has two different CTS connections:

• 1/2-inch CTS
• 3/8-inch CTS

Confirm the actual pipe sizes and materials before ordering. CTS pipe measurements should not be confused with OD tubing sizes used in beverage, pneumatic or water-treatment tubing systems.

• Keep the fitting away from solder flux, paint thinner, aggressive cleaners and incompatible chemicals.
